Hello! My name is Candy Brooks. I believe that every student has potential to set and reach their goals. I believe the best way to help a student is to work together to gain understanding. I am committed to working with you to help you reach your maximum potential. I always take the time to get to know my students. Getting to know who my students are and what they value helps me to motivate them in a meaningful way. I am a native Floridian who loves the beach, football, and spending time with my family and friends.
Teacher Specialization
I have 15 years of combined teaching and tutoring experience. I taught English Language Arts and Reading to students in grades 6-8 for three years. I taught high school English and Reading courses for four years. In addition to my time as the lead classroom teacher, I worked as a Reading Specialist at a K-8 school. My work and dedication in that position led to me being promoted to supervise the school's entire intervention program.
