Bio
I am a seasoned teacher both in regular education and special education. I have been tutoring students from k-12 after school for several years helping them succeed in their study skills and executive functioning. I am also a certified Behavior Intervention Case Manager. The biggest key to my success in teaching is managing the learning behavior and building rapport with my students first and foremost.
Teacher Specialization
I had 9 years of experience in regular elementary education and 19 years in special education teaching students with varying disabilities from mild to severe. I can teach all elementary subjects and some basic ELA and Math in Middle School and High School. I had a productive and successful virtual teaching experience for two years straight during the pandemic using the zoom platform with various tools such as Google slides and PowerPoint. I have been helping students outside school hours in an in person tutorial for 18 years off and on as needed in our school district or outside our school district. I have tutored students from elementary to high school in all subject areas except for advanced calculus. I have finished my Masters Degree in Special Education back in 2013 and I am still attending trainings to further my knowledge and skills in teaching.
