Bio
Hello, my name is Caroline Foley! I am so excited to work with you and help you achieve great things! I believe students learn best through interactive, hands-on lessons rather than just textbooks. I provide constructive feedback that highlights strengths while also sharing areas for improvement. My goal as a tutor is to help students understand what they’re learning, build confidence, develop critical-thinking skills, and set achievable goals in their education. I want to foster relationships by creating a welcoming, respectful environment where students feel comfortable being themselves. I’ve co-taught several different grades throughout my college years while earning both an associate and bachelor’s degree in education, and I chose tutoring because I saw how much of a difference one-on-one support can make for students.
Teacher Specialization
I have received an Early Care and Education Certificate, an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I hold a teaching certificate in elementary education. Overall, I have 5 years of experience in education. In those 5 years, I spent 4 years teaching and co-teaching Pre-Kindergarten, 4 months student teaching in 3rd Grade, 1 year teaching in a Behavioral Therapy Clinic, and I am currently aiding/co-teaching in a 1st Grade Classroom. I have taught a variety of different content areas, including math, science, reading, grammar/writing, and social studies. I am an endorsed educator for Read to Succeed. While I do not have much experience teaching in virtual education, I attended a virtual school throughout high school and have used various technology in my current and past teaching careers.
