Bio
I believe students learn best through personalized, supportive instruction that meets them where they are. I use clear, constructive feedback and differentiated strategies to help each learner grow in skill and confidence. My goal is to help students achieve academic success, especially in ACT/SAT prep, while also building critical thinking, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. I create a positive, inclusive environment where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to take academic risks. Strong relationships and trust are the foundation of every tutoring session. I’m a high school English teacher, avid reader, and travel lover who finds joy in helping students succeed. I became a tutor because I love connecting one-on-one and making learning meaningful and empowering.
Teacher Specialization
I currently teach high school English at a Stride K12 school, specializing in reading, writing, and ACT/SAT prep. I hold a Bachelor’s in English from Mississippi State University, a Master’s in Curriculum & Instruction from Concordia University, and a Master’s in TESOL from Arkansas Tech University. My 21 years of experience and my background in curriculum design and language instruction has equipped me to support diverse learners and help them achieve their academic goals with confidence.
