Bio
Hi! My name is Catherine Peterson and I cannot wait to dive into tutoring and helping you not only learn science history, but love it! I have a BS in Secondary Education-Integrated Science, with a concentration in Earth Science, and a minor in History (Summa Cum Laude) and a MAE in Education Administration and Leadership (selected as the outstanding graduate student for the 2023 graduating class of the global campus). I have five years of teaching experience, combining both in-person and online teaching experience. I have taught honors, on-level, and co-taught courses. During the summers, I have pursued teacher internships and programs at the NASA Gene Lab, IU's Biology Summer Institute, IU's Educating for Environmental Change, and IU's Educator Program for Cancer Research--which I believe adds a unique real-world element to my instruction. I believe in frequent check-ins, targeted feedback, engaging lessons, and building a professional relationship to ensure your students' success!
