Bio

Hi! I’m Cindy Sutton, and above all, I think learning can and should be fun and engaging. On a personal note, I live in Florida with my husband, two daughters, and precious dog Goldie. My favorite things to do are going to the beach, kayaking, biking, and reading. I believe that ALL students can learn; some may just need more practice or different approaches than others in order to master a skill or concept. My approach to tutoring is to get a clear understanding of a student’s academic needs, assess to understand their strengths and struggles, and then deliver interactive instruction that is personalized for that student. My goals as a tutor are to help each student succeed academically, increase their confidence, and be the best that they can be. Students tell me that they enjoy my classes because of my sense of humor and how I get to know them personally. My motto is: Effective Instruction + Fun = Successful Learning Come learn with me!

My journey in Education has taken me to many classrooms (brick-and-mortar and virtually) filled with all kinds of students, Pre-school to Adults. I have a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. and a Master’s in Reading Ed. I’ve had the pleasure of helping students for 30 years, with many of those years teaching virtually. Throughout my career, I’ve been an Elementary Teacher, Reading Interventionist, Homeschool Teacher, as well as an Online University Instructor. Come learn with me!
