Longtime teacher, lifelong reader, wannabe writer, grammar geek, and notorious word nerd, at your service! Even after decades of teaching, I still get excited about all things English. (Yes, even grammar! Yes, even MLA-style citations!) If you're feeling downtrodden by the work you're doing in your English classes, I'd love to loan you some of my enthusiasm. Although I can't guarantee you'll laugh out loud during our sessions, I can guarantee you'll feel less alone and a little more prepared to face your next assignment

Teacher Specialization

I’ve been teaching English at both the high school and college levels since 1999. I have a Master’s degree in English as well as a teaching license, and helping students like you achieve their goals is one of my favorite things to do. In fact, my most recent tutoring client (who worked with me for all four years of high school!) earned 5s on both of his AP English exams, got a perfect score on his verbal SAT, and is now an undergraduate at Northwestern!
