Bio
Hello! I am an outdoor adventurer mom who can be found hiking, rafting, reading a good book or doing some creative art. I'm looking forward to meeting and working with you! I think it's important as a tutor to provide clear explanations, create opportunities for practice to evaluate student mastery, and have open communication and collaborate with parents and students to create an educational plan that meets the needs of the student. I love to encourage and to have fun. I like to create plans that include children's interests, listening to students' hearts about the lesson, and verbal praise.
Teacher Specialization
I have a Bachelors Degree in Communication and a current Elementary Teaching Certificate. I also have a Masters Degree in Education with a focus in English as a Second Language. My teaching experience includes: Public school teaching in grades 3-6th and Preschool Homeschooling my children Substitute teaching grades PreK through 12th grade Tutoring: A community of ESL students from S. Korea Math and English for elementary and high school students
