Bio
Hello, my name is Diahann Crawford. My teaching philosophy is that students can acquire learning skills with the appropriate personalized tools and the guidance of a caring and patient teacher. My goal as a tutor then is to help my students gain confidence that after each session, they have the ability to apply their learning to the given content area. To achieve this, I will get to know my students holistically by knowing how they learn, what application I can use to help them, and in the moment how they are feeling to determine the pace at which to move forward with my lesson.
Teacher Specialization
Having spent ten years in the profession, I started teaching at the elementary level. Then I moved to middle school science, teaching 7th and 8th grade. Presently I am a high school 9th-grade biology teacher. I have an associate degree in elementary education, a bachelor's degree in nutrition science, and a master's in curriculum and development. Both my teaching experiences and degrees have helped me develop my craft more comprehensively.
