Bio

Hi, my name is Diana Greenhut. I have been teaching since 2002. I worked in public, private, and online schools. I enjoy acting, reading, writing, standup comedy, dance, and music. I live in upstate New York where we have many farms that grow apples, peaches, grapes, pumpkins, and corn. I am a part of an online Playback Theater group where we practice acting on Zoom. I also often take acting classes to learn scene study, acting for TV/Film, and improv. I enjoy walking over former train bridges and feeding ducks. I chose to become a tutor to help children feel successful by learning strategies and to be more confident. I am motivated by seeing students succeed when they put in the effort. Students learn best when presented information in different ways. This can be accomplished by showing videos, reading books, showing graphic organizers, modeling, and even think alouds. Students can demonstrate mastery by reading, writing, making a project, or drawing a picture.
