Bio
I am Dr. Elena Santana, a certified Florida educator with a PhD in Engineering and Computing Education, Master’s in Software Engineering & four other degrees in complimenting disciplines. I have taught thousands of classes to students from elementary through college level. My teaching philosophy is to make learning engaging, personalized, and confidence-building, while fostering independence and critical thinking. With my technical background, I bring a structured yet creative approach that helps students excel in math, reading, language arts, and SAT/ACT prep. Career highlights include leading curriculum innovation on international platforms and consistently receiving top ratings from parents. I am skilled in supporting diverse learners, including those with exceptional student education needs. My personality is patient, encouraging, and adaptable—with a touch of humor and fun! I use digital props and interactive tools to keep young learners engaged and excited about every lesson.

My teaching specialization is grounded in extensive experience tutoring and teaching thousands of online classes across math, reading, language arts, technology, ESL, and standardized test preparation (ISEE, SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, and other academic exams) to international and domestic students. I am particularly skilled at designing interactive, student-centered lessons that build confidence, language proficiency, and independent learning skills. For younger learners, I incorporate humor, digital props, and creative tools to make lessons engaging and enjoyable. For older students, I emphasize academic English, critical thinking, problem-solving, and test-taking strategies that lead to measurable success.
