Bio
I specialize in creating customized lessons within an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and confident in their abilities. My teaching approach emphasizes helping students reach their full potential by developing critical thinking skills and connecting learning to real-world experiences. I believe strong, meaningful relationships are essential for building confidence, motivation, and long-term success. Beyond the classroom, I run a small goat and poultry farm and manage a duck rescue. These experiences have shaped my teaching philosophy by reinforcing the importance of responsibility, patience, problem-solving, and compassion. I am deeply committed to empowering students, celebrating progress, and fostering a culture of respect, acceptance, and lifelong learning.
Teacher Specialization
I have experience teaching in a wide range of educational settings. I homeschooled my three children from kindergarten through high school, which strengthened my ability to individualize instruction and support long-term academic growth. I have also provided community-based tutoring for over 15 years and taught in the public school system for eight years. I hold certifications in Special Education (EC–12) with a Highly Qualified designation in English, Math, Science and Social Studies; English as a Second Language (EC–12), and General Education (EC–6), as well as a Life Science (7–12) certification. This diverse background allows me to support students with varying learning needs, academic levels, and instructional goals.
