Bio
Hello there my name is Elizabeth! I live in New York and am a graduate student. My interests include music, hiking, and board games. I used to host an after school Gaming club - I was known as a Mario Kart champ! I am a kind, patient, and empathetic tutor. I push my students to succeed academically as well as in skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and confidence building. I believe that students learn best through a variety of instructional strategies - talking it out, writing exercises, virtual labs, or even making something new and creative of their own.
Teacher Specialization
I've been tutoring and teaching for the past 13 years. I started as a substitute teacher at an elementary school in Queens and taught middle and high school Living Environment in the Bronx since 2015. I also worked for two years at an alternative school in Berkeley, California teaching students with disabilities one-on-one and in small groups.
