Bio
All students can learn math. Often times, students lack confidence in their math skills because of past experiences. I believe in helping students explore what methods work best for them in understanding the mathematical concepts. My goal of tutoring is to learn more about each child and how they learn, to help me become a better teacher for all students. Children learn from adults that they respect and feel comfortable with. It is essential to build a relationship with students before trying to teach them. When they feel comfortable with you, they are able to also feel comfortable to make mistakes and ask questions. I have taught for 10 years: 6 years as a fifth grade teacher, and 4 years as a K-4 Math Specialist. I look forward to working with you!
