Bio
I believe that anyone can master math. I enjoy sharing various problem-solving strategies and discovering the best approaches to help my students understand concepts. My goal is to make my students feel comfortable when tackling math problems, ensuring they develop a strong foundation in the subject. I want them to feel at ease with math as a whole. In addition, I am Japanese and fluent in both the language and culture. I have a passion for classic movies, though I also appreciate some contemporary films. I find that I can teach any subject more effectively in a small group or one-on-one setting.
Teacher Specialization
I taught both elementary and middle school. In elementary school, I covered all subjects, while my primary focus in middle school was math. I graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a degree in Liberal Studies for Teaching. Additionally, I hold a multiple-subject credential and two single-subject credentials: one for Math (foundational) and another for the Japanese language, both from California.
