Bio
I believe students learn best through differentiated, student-centered instruction that meets them where they are and encourages active engagement. My goal is to help each student become more successful in their skills while also feeling more confident in themselves. I prioritize building positive, meaningful relationships with students by actively listening, showing empathy and constantly engaging with them. Fostering a supportive environment where students can succeed. I live in the state Pennsylvania. I love to travel, go hiking and read!
Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching first and second grade for 22 years. My Bachelor's degree is in Human Development and Family Studies. My certification is K-6 Elementary Education. My Master's Degree is in Reading. I also have my Reading Specialist Certification. I have taught and tutored reading, math, science and social studies in person and virtually. I taught virtually for three years. This included teaching whole group interactive lessons and small group reading and math instruction with digital resources.
