Bio
Hi, I’m Iliana! I am a bilingual educator with over 10 years of experience working with students in grades K–8 as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping students grow academically and personally while supporting families in building strong partnerships for success. My teaching style is highly engaging, standards-based, and personalized. I believe every child learns differently, so I focus on meeting students where they are, whether they need extra support through targeted interventions or enrichment to stay challenged. Above all, I work to make learning meaningful, confidence-building, and fun. As a tutor, I bring patience, energy, and a student-first mindset to every session. I look forward to helping your student grow and succeed!
Teacher Specialization
My teaching specialization is in intensive reading instruction, with extensive experience supporting students in grades K–8. I have worked with a wide range of learners, including struggling readers and English language learners, both in person and virtually. I focus on creating engaging, student-centered lessons that not only build literacy skills but also foster confidence and a love for reading. By tailoring instruction to each child’s needs, I help students grow at their own pace and develop the tools to succeed in and beyond the classroom.
