Bio
Hi, I’m Imani Davidson, an educator with 8 years of experience supporting K–12 students and adult learners across elementary and middle school. I currently serve as an instructional coach and previously worked as a math teacher and Founding Athletics Director, combining leadership with my passion for student development. I believe students learn best when they feel engaged, supported, and confident. I use clear modeling, guided practice, and differentiated instruction, along with timely feedback and ongoing assessment, to drive meaningful growth. Building strong relationships is at the center of my work, and my tutoring approach focuses on engagement, connection, and joy while helping students develop both academic skills and critical thinking, creativity, and perseverance. Outside of teaching, I love basketball—yes, I still play! I also enjoy volleyball and using sports to promote discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
Teacher Specialization
I have worked in education for 8 years, teaching and tutoring across K–12 grade levels as well as supporting adult learners. Math instruction in grades 6–8 is my strong suit, where I emphasize deep conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and skill mastery. I also have experience teaching phonics in K–2 and building strong foundational reading skills in elementary students. I currently serve as a math instructional coach and lead adult learning experiences to strengthen instructional practices. I hold a Bachelors Degree in Communications & Media, a Masters in Education and am currently pursuing my School Building Leadership (SBL) certification.
