Bio
Hello, my name is Jacquelyn Ambrous (but my preferred name is Jackie), and teaching is my passion. I enjoy helping students learn new things and improve and grow in their skills. I love seeing their faces light up when they improve a skill or master a new concept! I value making learning fun and am able to build a good rapport with students. I love to laugh and have fun in my sessions! I am also a homeschooling parent. I have taught my son since Kindergarten and he/we will be starting our high school journey in the Fall of 2025! I enjoy listening to music and dancing, watching K-dramas and Chinese historical period pieces, and simply spending time with my family!
Teacher Specialization
I am a veteran educator with over 25 yrs of experience, and I am certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, as well as in The Science of Reading. I have several years of experience teaching/tutoring online, including 4 years of experience teaching English to students in China. I hold a TESOL Certificate as well (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) as well.
