Bio

I am a highly motivated math teacher, who works to engage each student and inspire the uninspired. Each student brings a different skill set to a tutoring session. My objective is to recognize the knowledge base of each student and build from that foundation. Children are my inspiration, and each one of them has the ability to learn math!

Teacher Specialization

I have tutored math since I was a sophomore in high school. At 19, I was the head math teacher at Sylvan Learning Center in Clarksville, TN. I tutored at each college I attended for my tuition: Motlow State Community College and Austin Peay State University. I have taught high school math for 12 years in the public school system in Tennessee. I am certified through the State of Tennessee to teach math for grades 7-12. I have also tutored reading and math for elementary and middle school students for over 20 years. In my career, I have worked with students from all walks of life to include disabilities and disorders of many kinds.
