Bio

Hello. Knowing that you came here looking for a physics tutor tells me that you're curious and want to understand the world around you. That's what I always thought physics and math were about. After over 30 years as a dedicated physics teacher, I firmly believe that science often receives an unfair label of being too complicated. I know that any student with an interest can connect numerical relationships, make scientific predictions, and record accurate observations. I love using technology to help students learn, but I have also tried many options and approaches to work with any learning style. Together, we'll focus on connecting these concepts to your own experiences. Your success might include having a discussion about the concepts, working on solving practice problems, or even taking a look at your lab experiment report before you turn it in. While we work on your grades, we will also be making physics and math more understandable and enjoyable.

Teacher Specialization

I have a degree in physics and a masters degree in technology. Since 1992 I have worked with grades 6 through 12, in courses from general science to AP Physics I & II. So, if an equation or a graph could help find a solution, I have taught the class before. My journey included both public and independent schools, in both city and suburban areas. I have recently started coaching students with ADHD in ways to use their unique learning style and motivation in school.
