Hello! I am so happy to meet you! My name is Joei Dyes, and I have been teaching English for more than thirty years. During my career, I have taught every grade level from first grade up through the college level. Currently, I teach high school juniors and seniors who are earning dual college credit for my courses. I LOVE teaching grammar, writing, and reading. I love words, and I enjoy helping young people develop an enthusiasm for reading, speaking, and writing. I am passionate about helping students find their voice and become empowered to communicate creatively and effectively through their words. It would be my honor to work with you as your tutor. I look forward to getting to know you and working out strategies with you that will make yours an academic success story. Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching for more than 32 years. My background is in journalism and English. After graduate school, I was a newspaper reporter before becoming a full-time college instructor, who taught English. creative writing, and journalism. Later, I became a secondary school teacher, specializing in English, journalism, creative writing, history, multicultural studies, and test-taking strategies. During my career, I have taught elementary, middle, and high school students.
