Bio
Hi everyone! I am a very organized, positive, and patient teacher. I have always enjoyed working with children and helping others learn. I believe all students are capable of success, and sometimes it takes a couple of tries to find what works best for them. I enjoy helping students determine how they learn best and aim to increase their confidence along the way. I focus on positive yet beneficial and specific feedback, as this helps the learner improve. In my free time, I love to bake cookies, spend time with friends & family (especially my adorable 4-year-old niece), take workout classes, and occasionally take trips to Palm Springs, CA to get some sunshine!
Teacher Specialization
Last year was my 3rd year teaching 4th grade at a private elementary school in Washington. This included virtual learning during the 2020 school year! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education (from UW) & a Master’s in Teaching degree (from SPU). Prior to teaching, I tutored during the summers for about 4 years, was an assistant teacher at a preschool for 2 years & volunteered in elementary classrooms for 2 years. I have the most experience with grades K-5 but am also happy to support grades 6-8.
