Hello! My name is Ms. Reyes. I am an enthusiastic and student-centered tutor dedicated to fostering an engaging learning environment. With belief that students learn best by doing, I tailor my approach to ensure active participation, connection to real-life experiences. A fun fact about me is that I won Latinos in Actions' Teacher of the Year in 2021. I firmly believe that every student deserves access to high-quality literacy education. My goal is to make learning enjoyable for all, creating a positive and inclusive space where students can thrive academically. I offer tutoring in English proficiency, literacy, grammar, vocabulary, writing and Spanish. Let's embark on a journey of discovery and growth together!
Teacher Specialization
My teaching background consist of 7 years of teaching experience, a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a Master's in Educational Leadership. For 2 years, I specialized in elementary English Language Arts, followed by 5 years dedicated to middle school ELA and Reading for ESOL students. As a Latinos in Action advisor, I earned recognition as Teacher of the Year in 2021. I hold certifications in K-12 ELA, ESOL, and Reading. I am also bilingual in Spanish/English.
