Bio
My name is Kaitlyn, I am a stay at home mom. I have three children, a wonderful husband, and a golden retriever. I believe education is most powerful in individualized and small-group virtual settings, where each student is truly seen, heard, and supported. While large classrooms often operate with good intentions, it is nearly impossible to effectively meet every learner’s unique needs without personalized attention. In a virtual tutoring environment, I can intentionally tailor instruction, pace, and feedback to fit each student’s strengths and areas for growth. Meaningful learning requires connection, encouragement, and responsiveness—elements that can thrive in focused online sessions. My goal is to cultivate curiosity, confidence, and a genuine love of learning so students grow not only academically, but in their belief in their own ability to succeed.
Teacher Specialization
I have substituted for grades K–12 on and off since 2017, gaining experience across a wide range of age groups and learning styles. I homeschooled my daughter for preschool and earned my Master’s in Teaching while completing student teaching with three children under the age of five. I completed my 8th grade social studies student teaching placement, where I developed strong classroom management and instructional skills. For ten years, I served as a camp counselor, working my way up to head counselor, and I currently serve as a VBS and Children’s Director at my church. Teaching and shaping the hearts and minds of students has always been central to who I am, and I am eager to thrive in tutoring with K12 Tutoring while homeschooling my daughter and fostering a genuine love of education in my students.
