Greetings! My name is Kathy Alvarez and in my spare time I love to read, listen to music, and spend time with my beautiful family. I believe and pride myself in providing high-quality education to deepen a student's understanding, promote student ownership, and close academic gaps to help students establish a strong educational foundation. I like to implement fun and engaging activities which allow me to get-to-know your child more and their learning style. Let's work together to advance your student's potential and increase their academic performance.
Teacher Specialization
My educational background consists of a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree in Education, and I am a Texas certified Bilingual (English/Spanish) educator in Early Childhood through 4th grade. I have taught all subjects in grades K-4th. During my time as a Math Instructional Coach and Bilingual Literacy Interventionist, I supported and worked with Kinder-5th grade students and teachers by coaching and implementing researched-based instructional strategies to improve student academic performance.
