Bio

Hello! My name is Kay, and I am thrilled to be your Math tutor. Besides Math, I love food, travel, music, DJing, sports, animals, and acquiring new languages. I like tutoring because I can help students and it is fun seeing my students grow every day. I am bilingual in English and Japanese so I can help you with a Japanese language course if you are taking a Japanese class (any grade level). I am a passionate tutor and a lifelong learner. I am open-minded and love to celebrate student's success (We do this often!). My teaching philosophy is that each student is an unique individual with different learning styles, so I accommodate your learning needs to ensure that you gain a deep understanding of Math with lots of practices (Are you ready? Teacher Specialization

I am certified to teach 4th-8th grade Math, Japanese, and ESL in Texas, and I have taught 6th-8th grade Math for the past 8 years at public schools in Texas. The foreign language I have been teaching is Japanese. I am a native Japanese speaker and also certified in teaching Japanese for all grade levels. My educational backgrounds are: Master's degree in Management and a bachelor's degree in Finance. Both of my college degrees were earned in the US.
