Bio
Greetings everyone. My name is Kenyetta Swanigan and I am super excited to begin this process. I have been in education for more than 22 years and I currently work as a Reading Specialist in an elementary school. I have 2 very active teens (13 year old son and 16 year old daughter). I enjoy hiking, reading, and baking (my children love this as well!). Student centered learning has always been a high priority for me. I believe in supporting independence while creating engaging activities that supports students lifelong learning. I love music and movement, so don't be surprised if I try to connect new learning with a song and dance!! Let the learning process begin.
Teacher Specialization
I began teaching in 2002 and I have had the privilege to spend 7 years teaching pre-K, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. As a reading specialist, I have spent 15 years coaching teacher sin grades K5, providing small group interventions, co-teaching with grade levels, and providing professional development.
