Bio
I am Kim Hopkins. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. I have two kids that are 27 and 21 years of age. My daughter is an EMT doing Transport in San Antonio. My son is a senior at Tarleton State University majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Mathematics. Throughout my teaching career, I have always wanted to provide students with the knowledge to be able to have a career and support themselves and their family. Mathematics and computers have always been an important part of my teaching and feel these are very important parts of students' lives also. It is always joyful for me when students understand a concept that has been difficult for them and are able to excel. I try to connect with students in using everyday terms and examples that they can relate to and understand. I look forward to assisting you excel with mathematics!!

I currently teach virtually for Texas Virtual Academy at Hallsville. I have a Masters Degree in Education with Information Technology from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas. I also have a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education with Mathematics and Business as teaching fields from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. I started my teaching career at the high-school level for over 16 years teaching various Mathematics, Business, and Computer Science.
