Bio
Hello! My name is Kimberly Franklin, and I’m a dedicated Special Education Teacher. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with students of all abilities, helping them build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and reach their fullest potential. My approach to teaching is patient, individualized, and encouraging—I believe every learner can succeed when instruction is tailored to their unique needs and learning style. I specialize in supporting students with learning differences in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning, using evidence-based strategies that make learning both effective and enjoyable. Whether your child needs extra support mastering foundational skills or strategies for staying organized and focused, I’m here to help them grow, thrive, and feel proud of their progress.

I have been a dedicated Special Education Teacher for 13 years. I have also taught in a virtual setting using several platforms. I have taught 2nd grade-8th grade primarily ELA and Math. I specialize in: - Reading Intervention & Literacy Development (including phonics, comprehension, and fluency) -Mathematics Support (conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and foundational skills) -Executive Functioning & Study Skills (organization, time management, and self-regulation) -Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Support and progress monitoring -Learning Disabilities & ADHD Strategies -Social-Emotional Learning & Positive Behavior Support My teaching style is patient, engaging, and tailored to each student’s unique strengths and learning style. I use evidence-based strategies to make lessons meaningful, accessible, and confidence-building. My goal is always to empower students to become more independent learners and to celebrate their growth every step of the way.
