Hi! My name is Krista, and I’m a certified educator with a PK–8 teaching certification. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) in Early Childhood Education from Ouachita Baptist University and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University–Commerce. With over 12 years of teaching experience, I’ve taught kindergarten and first grade, as well as worked with fourth grade students in small group and virtual settings. My teaching style is interactive and encouraging, while also structured to support consistent progress. I especially enjoy helping students build strong foundations in reading and math, and I strive to make learning meaningful, engaging, and confidence-boosting for every child I work with. In my extra time, I love going on bike rides with my family, watching movies, and baking. These hobbies keep me creative, patient, and connected—qualities that carry over into the way I support and connect with students in their learning journeys.
