Hello! I am excited to meet you and join you on your educational journey. With over 20 years of experience in education, I am passionate about working with students who require extra encouragement and support, particularly in reading and math. My teaching style is rooted in positivity, care, and empathy, creating a nurturing and supportive environment where students feel empowered to succeed. I enjoy reading fantasy and love reading wonderful stories to my students. I am committed to making learning both engaging and enjoyable while ensuring that each student progresses at their own individual pace. I look forward to working with you!
Teacher Specialization
I graduated from the University of North Texas in 1999 with a degree in education, specializing in music. Over the years, I have transitioned to teaching special education, with a focus on reading and math. In 2024, I earned my certification in Orton-Gillingham through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education.
