Bio
Hello there! I'm Mrs. Nohmer, and I want to help you find confidence in mathematics. When students tell me that they struggle with math, I like to remind them that most people are not born mathematicians; instead, they have mentors who help break down complex ideas and help make connections to what the student already knows. I can help you do just that! Even Albert Einstein remarked, "It is not that I am so smart, I just stay with a problem longer." I am dedicated to creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all my students. My goal is to support you so that you may reach whatever degree of mathematical ability you desire. I'm excited to assist you in gaining self-assurance and helping you make the connections necessary to reach your goals and your full potential.
Teacher Specialization
Over the past 12 years, I have taught math in both public and private schools, from pre algebra through calculus. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont and my master's degree from Tufts University. I am continually taking courses to improve my own teaching and understanding of math so that I can help students succeed by tailoring my teaching methods to fit their individual needs.
