I believe everyone has unique genius waiting to be discovered. My students say I transform abstract concepts into "aha!" moments through relatable examples and my admittedly nerdy sense of humor. My "teacher spider-sense" helps me quickly find what works for each learner. I might explain literary themes through Star Wars references or create funny mnemonics for Spanish verbs—whatever helps concepts stick! In my tutoring classroom, expect: A judgment-free zone where questions are celebrated, genuine connections beyond academics are developed, and a light-hearted energy with strategic learning is encouraged. I'm invested in your growth, curious about your goals, and committed to helping you achieve them. We'll work hard, but we'll also laugh along the way!
Teacher Specialization
With 20+ years in education, I specialize in High School Language Arts, Spanish, Social Studies, Test Preparation, and College Essay Writing. I have Bachelor's Degrees in both Spanish and Economics, and an M.A. in Human Resources Management. I am currently working on a doctorate (Ed.D.) in Organizational Leadership. I hold teaching credentials in English Language Development, English as a Second Language, Spanish, and Social Studies. I also have an Administrative Services Credential.
