Bio
I am an educator who is passionate about teaching and learning. My favorite thing about tutoring is reaching that "ah ha" moment with each scholar; the moment when they realize that they've mastered a new skill. My goal in every session is to help scholars reach their full potential through dialogue and practice. I believe that we can all achieve far above our wildest imagination, as a tutor I try to instill that same belief through practice. When I'm not tutoring, I love trying new restaurants with my husband or finding creative DIY projects to do around the house.
Teacher Specialization
I have 8 years of experience as an English teacher, teaching AP English Language and Composition, American Literature, and freshmen and sophomore-level English. I also have 2 years of experience as a school leader, supporting teachers with instruction and curriculum development. Throughout my undergraduate career, I worked as an AVID tutor, assisting students across various contents using the Socratic method.
