Bio
Hello, I am Mrs. Williams, and I have been an educator in middle school for over 10 years. I have also worked as a teacher for elementary schools and students with special needs, including those with mild and severe disabilities. I am currently a mental health clinician working as a school-based therapist for elementary-age students. I specialize in diagnosing and treating behavior disorders such as ADHD, Autism, learning disabilities, anxiety, and depression. These behavioral and mental disorders sometimes cause a barrier between students and their academics. Being trained in mental health diagnosis and treatment techniques, I can assess and treat any behavior or emotional issues that are standing between a child and their best academic potential. Tutoring sessions with me will focus on a child as a whole individual, mind, body, and emotion. I also create free resources available for clients before and after sessions to help them in their day-to-day lives.
Teacher Specialization
I have worked primarily with middle school students for over 10 years. This includes 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I have taught math, social studies, and social-emotional health. I can assess a student's unique gifts and talents and put those at the forefront of their learning to motivate them and give them a sense of purpose for learning. For over a year, I worked in various classrooms, including child development, Kindergarten through high school, and I have worked with students in special needs classes with disabilities that range from mild to severe. I have a degree and experience in secondary administration and have experience in administrative roles. I now counsel students within the school system, employed by the state mental health institution, using evidence-based techniques, and will be a fully licensed therapist in April of 2026.
