Hello! My name is Miss Laura, and I can't wait to meet you! I believe all children are gifted in unique ways and are capable of learning when they are shown new information in creative ways! This is my specialty: helping to find ways to connect new information with something you already know! Learning doesn't have to be hard, it can actually be quite fun and rewarding! I will get to know you and your interests and will find ways to make learning more engaging and relevant! My 19 years of teaching experience with kids of all ages in grades K-12 makes me a perfect fit for any student! So what are you waiting for, let's get started learning together!
Teacher Specialization
I have been a teacher for 19 years! My background is mostly in elementary but I also have experience tutoring students in middle & high school. I am very patient with students who struggle to learn new concepts. I also have experience working with special needs, ELL/ESL & gifted students. My bachelor's degree is from Anderson University, my master's degree is in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, and I was recently trained in: Math Recovery & Science of Reading!
