Hi Friends! My name is Mrs. Ray, I am so glad you are here and I am so excited to be your tutor. I am here to help you excel in school. My favorite subjects are math and science, but I am here to help with all subjects including reading, writing, social studies, math, and science. I love hands-on and visual learning, so I am open to finding the best way I can serve you and your needs. I am all about having fun, but working at the same time so lets have some FUN learning together. I promise to help you and be the best tutor I can be.My husband and I live in southwest Virginia in a small town located beside the Appalachian Trail and the beautiful New River. I am also a mom to a sweet 1 year old boy who loves to play with his cars. I am also a pet mom to a cat named Mia and two dogs named June & Cash. I love to get outside whether it's cold or hot, but I prefer the summer months. I love traveling with my family and making memories along the way. I can't wait to meet you and work with you!
Teacher Specialization
I hold 3 degrees and a valid teaching license for the state of Virginia. I have an Associates in-General Studies, Bachelors in-Interdisciplinary Studies of Education, and Masters in-Elementary Education. I have 2 years of teaching experience along with 3 years of being an instructional assistant. I have taught Kindergarten and 3rd grade-including all subjects and assisted in 1st/2nd grades.I have experience in teaching students with disabilities, and I am very familiar with IEP's and 504 plans.
