¡Hola! Me llamo Lisa Landa. ¡Mucho gusto! I am so excited to be your tutor! I am a 30 year veteran teacher who recently retired in June of 2024. I taught Spanish in central Virginia for 30 years in brick and mortar schools and also online Summer School with Virtual Virginia. I now reside in my home state of Pennsylvania. I am an award winning teacher who is certified in both Spanish and ESL. I have been honored by receiving the Teacher of the Year Award at one of my previous schools and two technology in education awards from The Southside Virginia Regional Technology Consortium. Students are individuals with specific skill sets. My goal as your tutor is to meet you where you are at and to help you achieve your academic goals in a fun and enthusiastic fashion. In additions to helping you with your Spanish or ESL needs, I can help you work on your study and critical thinking skills and help you prepare for the PSAT or SAT. I look forward to having fun helping you secceed!

I am a 30 year, certified teacher of Spanish K12(Levels 1- AP) and ESL K12. I have taught in the classroom in Central Virginia and online with Virtual Virginia. I have also administered the PSAT and the SAT for the past several years. I have B.A degrees in Spanish and International Studies and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. I have studied in Spain and México and I have chaperoned students to these two countries. I look forward to sharing my passion for languages with you!
