Bio
Hi! My name is Madeline Loar! I believe that every child should have access to a good education and that all students need varied levels of support to be successful. My goal with online tutoring is to be able to help students feel empowered and develop a love of learning. I love being able to work one-on-one or with small groups of students and think that more focused learning can have such a positive impact! I love really getting to know my students. I enjoy learning what learning style students have, what instruction they respond best to, and wathcing them thrive when learning new things or accomplishing a goal.
Teacher Specialization
I have taught first grade for three years now and taught pre-k for one year. I am Science of Reading trained which has given me extensive knowledge in how to teach young children to read succesfully. Through the pandemic all teachers became online teachers! I earned my bachelors degree in early childhood/elementary education and am currently working on my masters in school counseling. I have had experience teaching class fulls of young children while online learning. In my district we continue online learning during snow days, keeping the saw for online learning sharp!
