Bio
My name is Mai Queider I’m dedicated to helping learners become confident readers, effective communicators, and critical thinkers. As an educator, I believe that learning should be a collaborative and dynamic process, where students are encouraged to explore, question, and develop a genuine love for knowledge. I embrace a student-centered approach, where individual learning styles are not only recognized but celebrated. My main goal as a tutor is to empower students by building both their confidence and skills. I aim to break down complex concepts into manageable steps and use real-world examples to make learning more relatable and engaging. I also prioritize helping students set and achieve both short-term and long-term academic goals, guiding them toward a path of independent learning. Building a strong rapport with my students is central to my approach. I take the time to understand their unique interests, personalities, and learning preferences.
Teacher Specialization
I carry a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and for the past six years, I’ve passionately taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade levels, building learning environments where students develop strong literacy skills alongside mathematical understanding. I Specialize in the areas of ELA, Math, Science AND Social Studies. I have ample experience in virtual learning as I taught 3rd and 4th grade levels online. Teaching virtually has taught me how to keep students engaged online, adapt lessons on the fly, and build real connections—even through a screen.
