As a passionate mathematics teacher, my teaching philosophy revolves around making math accessible and enjoyable for everyone. I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed in math, regardless of their previous experiences or perceived abilities. In my online math classes, I use a variety of interactive tools and techniques to engage students and bring math concepts to life. From virtual manipulatives to real-world problem-solving activities, my goal is to help students develop a deep understanding of math that they can carry with them throughout their lives. Teacher Specialization
My academic background has prepared me to help students appreciate the beauty and practicality of math. I hold a Bachelor's degree in K-8th Music Education and Master's degree in Education. I am currently in my 4th year teaching online 3rd Grade math for Stride. During my time teaching in person, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students. Over seven years, I taught K-8th grade music, spent two years as lead preschool teacher, taught kindergarten for one year.
