Bio

I believe that fostering a trust to educators and love for learning are key in making educational strides. I offer multiple strategies to engage students in a meaningful way, that is both fun and fosters an optimal learning environment. I look forward to working with your student to help them to achieve educational success and confidence. I will help them to embrace their mistakes, because we all make them (even teachers!) and use them as a tool to help them grow. In my tutoring sessions, fostering relationships is key. I look forward to building this foundation with your student! My husband, daughter, and I live a small farm in remote Missouri with some pigs, cows, dogs, and cats. We love to spend time outdoors, on the river, and trips to our local library.

Teacher Specialization

I have always loved the world of education and began shadowing teaching mentors in high school. I immediately went to school to obtain my degree, where I achieved a Bachelor's in Elementary Education, while also working as a substitute teacher, then a paraprofessional, then upon my degree, a 7th grade special education teacher. In 2022, I made the life altering decision to apply for a K12 Virtual School, and it was the best career choice I have ever made. I currently teach all subject areas as a virtual 5th grade teacher in Missouri and love the ability to meet and reach students all around my state. I love learning and growing with my students and look forward to making growth with your student in this tutoring journey!
