Hello there! My name is Megan Jordan and I have 10 years of professional education experience. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Elementary Education (all subjects) and a Master's degree as a K12 Reading Specialist. From teaching in the classroom, to teaching online and private tutoring, to providing literacy and math coaching for intervention programs, I have worked with nearly every grade level and content area K-8th. My favorite subjects to teach are phonics and early literacy, reading comprehension, writing, and math. I have worked with struggling and reluctant learners before so it is my passion to make learning fun for all abilities and levels! I believe learning should be interactive, hands-on when possible, and should be centered around each child's interests. I'm looking forward to helping your child learn!
Teacher Specialization
During my time as a classroom teacher, I taught general education as well as special education. My primary content areas were reading, writing, and math, but I also taught science, social studies, and social skills classes. I have been a literacy and math intervention coach for the past few years. My current areas of passion and expertise involve early literacy instruction, phonics, reading comprehension, and foundational math skills.
