Bio
Hello! My name is Ms. Reid and I am so glad to be your tutor! I think we can learn quite a bit and I can help you figure out the questions you have about your subjects. My educational philosophy is that teaching is both an art and a science. It is an art in that you use your craft to teaching in creative ways to get the subjects taught. Also, teaching is a science because you have to continue to experiment to master your craft. My goals for tutoring include reaching as many students of whatever age in the subjects of Language Arts and Social Studies. Also, if you need help in Math, I would like to help you brush up on that as well. I have taught for 9 years in Pre K-12 Grades. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Government from the University of Notre Dame, a teaching certificate and Master's in Curriculum in Teaching from Michigan State University. I have taught from Pre-K to 12th grades. I have taught 4-8 Language Arts and History, 10 Grade Language Arts, and10-12 Social Studies. I have tutored K-3 Reading and Math.
