Hey there! I'm Mrs. N <3 I am dedicated to supporting student success by fostering strong relationships and presenting concepts in a way that is accessible and engaging. With a deep passion for teaching Reading and English, I bring a particular enthusiasm for literary analysis and critical thinking. As students master foundational concepts, I intentionally guide them toward deeper understanding through higher-level questioning that promotes creativity and intellectual curiosity. I strive to create a positive, judgment-free learning environment where students feel empowered to advocate for themselves, ask questions, and express when they need further clarification. My goal is to help every learner feel confident, respected, and supported in their educational journey. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, cooking, and playing cozy video games. I also value quality time with my family and love exploring new places through travel and adventure.
Teacher Specialization
I have five years of teaching experience, starting with 6th grade reading and now teaching career prep courses like Culinary Arts and Family & Consumer Sciences. I earned a bachelor’s in Recreation & Sports Management from the University of North Texas. Before becoming a certified teacher, I worked with at-risk youth in outdoor programs focused on building trust, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
