Bio
Hi, I’m Mrs. Skinner! I grew up in South Africa, surrounded by rich culture, diversity, and a wide range of perspectives—an experience that shaped my love for people and my deep appreciation for personalized learning. Since 2017, I’ve lived in Idaho and now Utah, where I’ve continued working with learners of various ages and backgrounds. My goal is to help students feel confident, understood, and excited about their learning journey while making every lesson purposeful and fun. I’m passionate about building meaningful connections with my students and creating learning experiences that are relevant, engaging, and tailored to each individual. I look forward to working with you and being part of your learning journey!
Teacher Specialization
I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Special Education and experience teaching in both general and special education classrooms. Over the past two years, I’ve worked as an online tutor supporting students of various abilities from Kindergarten through 7th grade in reading and math. My online teaching experience has increased my ability to adapt lessons and support individual learning needs in a virtual setting.
