Hello! I am Ms. Garner. Online learning is by far the best teaching experience I have had by far in my 12 years of teaching! My teaching philosophy is a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach, where adaptable learning spaces are created to accommodate various learning preferences and needs. My goal as a tutor, is for each individual to show growth, through combined efforts in learning. As a teacher and students, we will work as a team to achieve our best learning potential! Teacher Specialization
I have been teaching now for 12 years as a certified teacher, 5 years in general education and 7 years in special education. I have taught a wide range, from first, fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth grades. Ten years I taught in brick and mortar "in person" school and I just completed my second year at K12. I am certified to teach all subjects from early childhood through 8th grade. I am also certified as a special education teacher, and where I have most of my training and experience. Overall, I have taught Math the majority of my teaching career, both as a general education teacher and special education teacher. Math is where I thrive and absolutely LOVE to teach, making it fun and interactive!
