Bio

I encourage students to work through problems, and offer guidance or direct instruction throughout when needed. Parental input on student struggles and strengths are also important to the success of each student. Positive reinforcement during tutoring sessions allows students to feel more comfortable, and gives them the confidence to transfer new knowledge to the classroom, which is ultimately the goal of all tutoring sessions. I have worked with students of all ages and competencies, and have experience differentiating instruction so that every student can be successful. I truly believe that every student can learn once the best teaching practices are found for the student.

Teacher Specialization

I have been in the education field since 2005, starting as a teaching assistant and running a tutoring center, moving to classroom teaching and tutoring since 2006. I have been in the education field in a variety of settings, including brick and mortar public schools, homeschooling, tutoring centers, individual 1-on-1 tutoring and online tutoring. My certifications include Teacher of Students with Disabilities for grades K-1 2, Elementary Teacher grades Prek-8, and Math through Algebra.
