Bio
As an experienced and passionate educator, I am deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, engaging and intellectually stimulating learning environment. My professional career has been dedicated to helping students reach their fullest potential-academically, socially and emotionally-by meeting them where they are and inspiring them toward new goals. My teaching philosophy is centered on two key principles: engagement and relevance, growth mindset and reflection. In my classroom, I integrate literacy strategies, technology and real-world application to ensure all learners are supported and challenged appropriately. I bring warmth, structure, and enthusiasm to my classroom. My students have described me as approachable, encouraging and fair. My accomplishments range from being selected as a foreign exchange student in Tokyo,Japan, a nominated member of Kappa Delta Pi, International Education Honor Society, and a published writer!
Teacher Specialization
My teaching specialization is in English Language Arts (ELA) and English as a New Language (ENL) instruction. I am skilled in designing and delivering language-rich lessons that build literacy, fluency and confidence among diverse learners. My expertise includes supporting multilingual students in mastering academic English while also fostering strong reading comprehension, writing proficiency, and critical thinking skills. I specialize in differentiating instruction by integrating scaffolding strategies, vocabulary development, and culturally responsive practices. I also emphasize collaboration and communication skills, ensuring that every student has the tools to succeed both inside and beyond the classroom. I hold a Master Degree in Elementary Education and Post Graduate work in TESOL. I've been teaching for more than 15 years including 4+ years virtual education in the public/private sector with content areas in Reading, Science, Social Studies and Math for Grades 1-6 and ENL K-12
